saif arrested and syria summray of week just gone

Saif gadaffi has been arrested. The Arab league plan has been provisionally agreed in syria according to Uk newspapers on Thursday / friday but France says there has to be action via the UN, Russia and China are not so sure about this and the former has stated on Russia today that negotiations and sanctions with peacekeepers would avoid a civil war like LYbia. However the casualty numbers are now up to 3,500 (similar to the number of dead at 9/11). As such its time for peace and a syrian constitutional convention and reforms as have occurred in Kuwait and Jordan.

Morroco has recalled its ambassador from Syria and teh regional intergovernmental organisation teh Arab League has given teh Assad Regime three days grace to ammend its ways or face further economic sanctions (Russia Today)

A military compound has been attacked by rebels near Damascus BBC News 24 and Sky News have reported refugees raching Turkey (BBC Radio 4 Briefing 5.30am 16/11/11)

Russia has held peace talks with the oppostion in syria according to Russia Today and the Iranians have a missile programme according to teh same tv stations interpretation and reporting of claims about it and a Ukranian nuclear scientist.

Turkey has claimed sought more sanctions against Syria.

Jordan has expressed concern as to what is going on in Syria regarding breaches of human rights and persecution of it population by its government.

The Arab League has expressed concern and expelled Syria (Though it is appealing).

The UK Chief of Defence staff on Sky News said that the UK was capable for either an operation in Syria or Iran.

Iran has said that reports of it developing a nuclear bomb were based on 2004 reports by the IAEA on RUssia today. Yet on other news channels their President has in the past said that they won't be subdued by international pressure from lawful self defence.
