Fact and issue update

fact update:

Saif Gadaffi is preparing to surrender to the Hague to face trial (International Criminal Court)

The Arab League is condemming human rights abuses in Syria and seeking a constitutional resolution as part of teh constitution convention, rather than the killing of civilians, with some opposition groups calling for a no fly zone. howevrr on Russia today some experts fear that that would lead to a repeat of Lybia with more syrians dead. The implication with that is that Syria still has higher numbers of soldiers per head of population than other states in the region.

The eurozone bailout is going ahead but there are dangers of far right voting patterns in Germany.

In the UK and other European states pension funds are seeing the payments to their members fall owing to Quantitative easing and previous windfall taxes. Could the next budget ringfence and protect investment returns for them so as to 'Help the Aged' (or more precisely Age UK)

European states through the ECB if in teh Euro are paying to offset teh debts of the countries (first Greece) that are defaulting on their debts (Greece 50%, ? others to follow). Then the other states can maintain micro economic stability and confidence in the markets as occurred to day. That way the banks are seperated from investment and retail banking and protests won't be so big or severe if at all and there'll hopefully be less of an energy shortfall this winter as the Euro countries will be able to pay Russia and other states.

Gadaffis gone and ferraris goofed

Nick Ferrari says world better off with dead gadaffi and no trial.

If thats the case and no head of state has a proper recognised process of finding out how they died when under an international arrest warrant, some bin laden wannabe could claim that failure to do so was as equally unshariahiac as leaving him unburied. Do we want a repeat of this in 40 years time (last time there was regime change there) or a sustainable future and democracy.
