Re Tim Yeos comments, sideswipes about his diorectorships for BAA and BA in the past aside, does he really want to wipe out all hopr of teh Conservatives ever winning seats in West Londn again.
1) Theres gonna be a western link at Heathrow rail junction so that the new IEPs in the same timeframe as R3 could link with Bristol and Cardiff and Birmingham airports
2) Airtrack to the SE and SW of the airport combined with teh necessary line upgrades for Crossrail 2 to Twickenham could also produce extra passenger capacity
3) Justine Greening has the clear backing of PM and Cabinet
Which means she wins, he loses, we get HS2 and everyones happy provided the route and planning is right, enough tress and walls are planted to shield the noise and thats about it as far as I'm concerned for thsi summers evening.
