Time to end nuclear proliferation and have complete global nuclear disarmament
The arab league have called on a peaceful resolution in Syria.
Russia has tabled a motion calling for both sides to negotiate at the UN re syria.
However both there and in Egypt protests have continued. Hence theres a need for democratic dialogue and constitutional conventions so that both states have democratically elected parliaments like Iraq, Kuwait and Jordan (prefferably with a minimum % threshold of the vote that includes enough former Hamas / Hizbollah so that they can debate and ask the Arab League to condemn Iran and Israel for possible nuclear weapons and then have them (nukes) decommissioned.
Given yesterdays death of the North Korean Leader, there is an opportunity for all of earth to say no genocide weapons. With such a Glasnost between teh Koreas, there could be a move towards reunification by the will of the people in both states (like Germany since 1989).
In short if you're living in South Korea, don't panic.
and if in China and Russia and USA and France and UK and Israel and INdia and Pakistan, write and blog that its time for an end to nuclear weapon technology through the IAEA and a UN resolution to that effect.
The best way to remember a state that is bent on a seperate path and using nuclear weapons as the equivilant of the baby in the pushchairs rattle is to stop playing that game (ie controlled proliferation of nuclear technology to other UN SEcurity council members) and instead stop it globally in case teh North Koreans select an even more erratic leader than the one who has just passed away.

Syria has signed the Arab league plan for peace between govt and opposition rather than risk being condemned at the United Nations.
Its now up to both sides to work out a constitutional peace and to prevent rallies and counter rallies turning into protests and civil war. It took both sides in South Africa to do teh same (including teh other minorities than a simple Black ANC Zulus v White Afrikanns simplistic reading of history) and thats the best example I can think of at the moment.
Which in laymans terms means that if Syria becomes a Gulf War 1 or 2 candidate, it will only happen if the regional bodies concerned (Arab League and or medditerannean Union) secure tangible evidemce through the IAEA re Iranian weapons and the mobile phone / eyewitness footage gathered so far is documented and archived by the international criminal court.
